Pantime Steel Orchestra claimed top honours at the Republic Bank Panorama Competition 2025, with their powerful and patriotic rendition of “Damn Proud Lucian” by Sly. Their electrifying performance earned them 258 points, ending the six-year reign of Courts Babonneau Steel Orchestra, who placed second in this years competition.
The return of the soloist segment brought a fresh dimension to the festivities, celebrating the virtuosity of individual pan players. The winners of the solo competition are as follows;

This year’s Panorama competition followed the highly successful National Schools Pan Festival, which took place earlier this season. The National Schools Pan Festival showcased the promising talent and passion of young steel pan musicians and was designed to ensure the sustainability of the culture of steel pan.
The final competition under the Saint Lucia Carnival calendar, King and Queen of the Bands, will be held this evening Monday, July 14, at the SAAB, Vigie. King and Queen of the Bands is a free event and features performances by DYP and leading Saint Lucian artists.
