The Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC) in collaboration with the National Carnival Queen Pageant Committee will host the Sashing Ceremony for the 70^th staging of the National Carnival Queen Pageant this Friday, April 26, 2024 at 8pm.  

The Sashing Ceremony is where the delegates competing in the Pageant are assigned a sponsor for the season. 7 young delegates have been announced for this year’s pageant. They are as follows:

1. Aeryn George – Cap Estate, Gros Islet
2. Anneka Thompson – Marisule, Gros Islet
3. Kadin Antoine – Corinth, Gros Islet
4. Menella Sebaram – Thomazo, Dennery
5. Shan Lucien – Micoud
6. Tunisia President – Mon Repos, Micoud
7. Yaneil Joseph – Rock Hall Castries

The National Carnival Queen Pageant is one of the most anticipated events on the Lucian Carnival Calendar. Now in its 70^th year of staging, organizers have promised patrons even more surprises in celebration of this significant milestone.

The Sashing Ceremony can be viewed live on NTN, or on Facebook and Youtube at Carnival Saint Lucia from 8 pm. The National Carnival Queen Pageant is set to take place on Saturday, June 29^th 2024 at the Pavilion on Rodney Bay.
